Avelengo

The small village of 600 inhabitants Avelengo, the place of origin of “Haflinger”, the Avelignese horses, lies a few kilometres from Merano away. Avelengo can be reached through the panoramic road going from Merano (300 m. a.s.l.) to the highland of "Tschögglberg" (1250 a.s.l.).
